About This Temple
The Gandaki Chandi Shakti Peeth is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site in Muktinath, Nepal, on the banks of the holy Gandaki River, where Devi Sati's right cheek is believed to have fallen. Here, the Goddess is worshipped as Gandaki Chandi, a fierce form of Adi Shakti, granting wisdom and overcoming obstacles, with Lord Shiva appearing as Chakrapani (the disc-holder) as her Bhairava. This serene location is a powerful spiritual center for liberation (moksha) and healing, also known for the sacred Shaligram stones found in the river.
