Gayatri Manibandh Shaktipeeth, also known as Manibandh Shaktipeeth, Manivedika Shaktipeeth, or Gayatri Mandir, is one of the 51 sacred Shakti Peethas in Hinduism. According to legend, parts of Goddess Sati’s body fell at various places when Lord Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to dismember her body after her self‑immolation at the Daksha Yajna. At this Shaktipeeth, it is believed that the wrists (manibandh) of Sati fell, and the Goddess is worshipped here as Gayatri Devi (a manifestation closely associated with wisdom and sacred speech). The corresponding form of Lord Shiva worshipped here is Sarvanand — one who brings happiness to all.
