About This Temple
Tripura Sundari Temple (Matabari) in Udaipur, Tripura, is a revered Shakti Peetha where the right foot of Sati is believed to have fallen, featuring a unique tortoise-shaped hillock (Kurma Pith) and a square-style shrine built in 1501 by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya, housing idols of Goddess Tripura Sundari and a smaller Chhoto-Ma, next to the sacred Kalyan Sagar lake.
