About This Temple
Somnath Jyotirlinga is one of the most ancient and revered shrines of Lord Shiva, located on the western coast of India where the Arabian Sea meets the sacred land of Saurashtra in Gujarat. Known as “Prabhasa Kshetra”, Somnath is celebrated as the first (Adi) Jyotirlinga among the twelve Jyotirlingas, symbolizing the eternal and indestructible nature of Shiva.
