About This Temple
Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, nestled in Maharashtra's Sahyadri Hills, is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas, featuring an ancient, black-stone Nagara-style temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its blend of old and new architecture, lush forest surroundings, and connection to the myth of Bhimasur demon, making it a significant site for spirituality, history, and nature.
