Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is the fourth among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is located on Mandhata Island on the Narmada River in Omkareshwar, Khandwa District, Madhya Pradesh, India. The island’s shape resembles the sacred syllable “ॐ (Om)”, giving the temple its name Omkareshwar (“Lord of Om”) and making it profoundly significant in Shaivism. Devotees believe that darshan here purifies the soul and bestows spiritual merit.
