About This Temple
The Lalita Shaktipeeth is one of the 51 major Shaktipeeths, with two prominent locations: Naimisharanya, Uttar Pradesh (where the heart of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen) and Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh (where the right-hand finger of Sati is believed to have fallen). The Naimisharanya temple is known for its balanced cantilever architecture and elephant statues at the entrance, while the Prayagraj temple is associated with the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, and the worship of the deity in three forms: Lalita, Saraswati, and Kali.
