About This Temple
The Aparna Shaktipeeth, located on the banks of the Karatoya River in Bhabanipur, Bogura, Bangladesh, is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site where Goddess Sati's left anklet is believed to have fallen, with the presiding Goddess being Aparna (a form of Durga/Bhavani) and the Bhairava being Vaman/Bamesh. This ancient temple, part of the 51 Shaktipeethas, is known for its serene atmosphere, rituals during Navratri (including animal sacrifices), and a sacred pond (Shakha Pukur) with healing properties, drawing devotees seeking strength and fulfillment.
