About This Temple
Deities: Goddess Parvati, known as Nagapooshani Amman (wearer of snakes as ornaments) or Indrakshi Amman, and Lord Shiva as Nayinaar. Location: Nainativu (also called Manipallavam), an island near Jaffna, Sri Lanka, accessible by boat. Significance: One of the 51 Shakti Peethas, believed to be where Devi's anklets (nupur) fell, making it a potent spiritual center.
