Surya Dosha Nivaran

Surya Dosha occurs when the Sun is weak, afflicted, or adversely placed in the birth chart. Since Surya represents atma (soul), self-respect, leadership, vitality, and authority, an imbalance may cause ego conflicts, lack of confidence, career stagnation, government-related issues, or strained relationships with father or mentors. Surya Dosha Nivaran Puja is performed according to Vedic scriptures by experienced priests. The ritual includes Surya mantra japa, Surya Graha Shanti rites, and Surya Homa, where offerings such as wheat, red flowers, jaggery, ghee, copper items, and sacred herbs are offered into the consecrated fire. The puja is usually performed during Sunrise hours, as Surya is directly associated with early morning energy. This ritual helps align the individual with discipline, clarity, and righteous authority.
