Vaishnava Vivah

Vaishnava Vivah is rooted in the Vaishnava philosophy that views marriage as a divine partnership guided by dharma, devotion, and mutual service. Inspired by the ideals of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, this form of vivah emphasizes compassion, balance, and spiritual growth within household life.

In Vaishnava Vivah, the wedding rituals are performed with special reverence to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The ceremony begins with Ganesh Puja followed by Vishnu–Lakshmi Puja, seeking blessings for protection, prosperity, and marital harmony. Sacred Vedic chants such as Vishnu Mantras and Shri Sukta are recited, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The Vivah Homa is performed with Lord Vishnu as the divine witness, and Saptapadi binds the bride and groom through seven vows centered on dharma, love, mutual respect, and devotion. The rituals conclude with Mangalsutra Dharan, Sindoor Vidhi, and Ashirvad, sealing the marriage with divine grace.
