Brahma Purana is one of the eighteen major Puranas in Hinduism, traditionally attributed to Lord Brahma. It describes the creation of the universe, the genealogy of gods and sages, and the stories of various avatars. A major portion of it focuses on sacred geography, especially holy places in Odisha (like Puri and Konark), Rajasthan, and regions along the Godavari river. It also includes teachings on dharma, rituals, pilgrimage, temple histories, and spiritual knowledge. Though named after Brahma, the Purana contains many stories related to Vishnu, Shiva, and Devi as well.
